What happens when people ignore God's longsuffering?

Answered in 1 source

Ignoring God's longsuffering can lead to eventual judgment as He eventually enacts His justice.

When people dismiss or take for granted God's longsuffering, they place themselves in peril of experiencing His judgment. Throughout the history of Israel, despite witnessing His miracles, the people's refusal to heed God's voice culminated in consequences, as indicated in Numbers 14:29-30. God's longsuffering provides a window of opportunity for repentance and belief, but persistent rejection can lead to reprobation, where individuals ultimately receive what they rightfully earn for their sin. This serves as a sobering reminder for all believers about the seriousness of responding to God's calls and the need for repentance.
