What happens when someone believes in the Son of God?

Answered in 1 source

When someone believes in the Son of God, they receive eternal life and are not condemned.

Upon believing in the Son of God, a person is granted the profound gift of eternal life, as illustrated in John 3:16. This decision transforms one's standing from condemnation to acceptance in the eyes of God. The believer’s guilt is transferred to Christ, and they are declared 'not guilty.' This belief also empowers them to live a life free from the dominion of sin, as they are made new creations in Christ, with the Holy Spirit enabling them to walk in obedience and to worship the One who saved them.
