What if someone believes they are not part of God's elect?

Answered in 1 source

God's election is not based on human merit; if you believe, have hope in His sovereign grace and mercy.

The concern of whether one is part of God's elect brings us back to the assurance found in the gospel. According to Romans 9, even those who feel unworthy can reflect on God's unconditional love and grace. God's election is His divine purpose that is not dependent on individual worthiness or actions. If someone perceives themselves outside of God's grace, they should recognize the gospel's call to all who believe. Trusting in Christ assures us of our inclusion among the elect, revealing that faith itself is a gift of God, demonstrating His mercy and grace toward us.
