What is an uncircumcised heart?

Answered in 1 source

An uncircumcised heart is one that is unresponsive to God and clings to pride and self-reliance.

An uncircumcised heart refers to a heart that remains hardened and unresponsive to God’s truth and grace, as seen in Jeremiah's teaching. This condition of the heart is characterized by pride, selfishness, and the refusal to acknowledge God in one's life. It is the source from which all distortion of God’s gifts—wisdom, might, and riches—flows, leading individuals to trust in their own abilities rather than leaning on God's sovereignty. Consequently, a person with an uncircumcised heart is at risk of facing God’s judgment because they fail to honor and submit to Him in genuine faith and humility.
