What is false faith?

Answered in 1 source

False faith is a deceptive belief that lacks true conviction and transformation.

False faith, as described in the sermon, can exhibit emotional zeal and outward morality but lacks the essential qualities of saving faith. It may appear genuine, performing religious acts and even holding office in the church, yet it ultimately fails to acknowledge the true lordship of Christ. False faith can excite the emotions and reform behavior, but it does not lead to a heart broken over sin or a complete trust in Christ alone for salvation. As a result, it cannot endure the tests of faith outlined in Scripture or provide the assurance that comes from a genuine relationship with Jesus.
