What is saving faith?

Answered in 1 source

Saving faith is knowing God, understanding our sinfulness, and trusting in Christ alone for salvation.

Saving faith encompasses several key components: recognizing God as the source of life, acknowledging our own sinfulness, and relying solely on Christ for redemption. It is an inward trust that not only believes the facts of the gospel but also commits one's entire being to Christ as Savior. According to Romans 1 and 3, we understand God through creation and Scripture, reinforcing that our faith must rest in His righteousness. This faith will produce a love for Christ, manifest in our conduct and treatment of others, driving us towards a life that glorifies God.
