What is the basis of our hope according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

The basis of our hope is God's unchanging character and His promises found in Christ.

According to the Bible, our hope is firmly rooted in the unchangeable nature of God and His faithfulness to His promises. Scriptures such as Hebrews 6:19 describe hope as 'an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast.' This hope is not wishful thinking but a confident assurance based on God's character and His covenant faithfulness. In Christ, we find the fulfillment of God's promises, as stated in 2 Corinthians 1:20, 'For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen.' Our hope in Christ assures us of salvation, security, and eternal life.
