What is the connection between grace and hope in Christianity?

Answered in 1 source

Grace is the source of our hope, establishing us in Christ's promises.

Grace plays an integral role in the hope of Christians. It is by grace that we receive the hope of salvation, which gives us expected anticipation of being saved from sin and its consequences. As articulated in 1 Thessalonians 5:8, our hope is linked to salvation; the grace of God leads us to understand that our righteousness and redemption do not depend on our efforts but solely on Christ's completed work. This grace comforts our hearts and establishes us in every good work, as underscored in 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17. By acknowledging grace as the foundation of our hope, we find tranquility and certainty in our relationship with God and the transformative promise of eternal life.
