What is the connection between peace and faith?

Answered in 1 source

Peace is experienced through faith as believers trust in God's promises and sovereignty (Romans 5:1).

The connection between peace and faith is profound and foundational in the Christian experience. Romans 5:1 articulates this beautifully: 'Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.' Here, we see that faith acts as the conduit through which peace is accessed. It is through faith that believers can truly grasp and enjoy the peace that God offers. Faith does not produce peace but rather receives it, allowing believers to rest in the assurance of God's promises and providential care. Thus, our experience of peace is proportionate to the strength and focus of our faith in Christ. As we trust in Him, we are guarded by a peace that transcends understanding, thereby stabilizing our hearts and minds.
