Wisdom is intrinsically linked to salvation as it reveals our need for Christ, the source of salvation.

The connection between wisdom and salvation is vital in sovereign grace theology; wisdom opens the eyes of the sinner to understand their need for Christ. It is through wisdom that one recognizes that human efforts cannot lead to salvation and that Christ alone is our righteousness. Ephesians 1:17 speaks of asking God for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, showing that understanding our salvation through Christ is an act of divine revelation and grace.
