What is the difference between true faith and mere belief?

True faith is distinguished from mere belief in that it is an active trust in Jesus Christ as Savior, involving a personal relationship with Him. As seen in James 2:19, even demons believe in God, yet they do not have saving faith. True faith is characterized by a recognition of Jesus' beauty, glory, and lordship, drawing the believer to Him with love and adoration.
