What is the distinction between grace and the law in a Christian's life?

Answered in 1 source

Grace fulfills the law; while the law reveals sin, grace alone provides salvation and sanctification.

In the Christian life, the law serves a crucial purpose by highlighting our sinfulness and need for a Savior (Romans 3:20). However, grace transcends the law; it provides the means of salvation through the atoning work of Christ. Romans 10:4 explains that Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. While the moral law reflects God’s character and instructs believers on how to live, it is grace that empowers Christians to fulfill God's commands by transforming their hearts and lives. Therefore, grace is the driving force of the Christian life, allowing believers to live in the freedom of Christ.
