What is the main purpose of the Scriptures?

Answered in 1 source

The main purpose of Scriptures is to declare salvation through Jesus Christ.

The Scriptures exist to proclaim the way of salvation through Jesus Christ. Both the Old and New Testaments testify of Him; the Old Testament foreshadows His coming, while the New Testament declares that He has come for the redemption of His people. Acts 10:43 affirms that all prophets bear witness to Christ, ensuring that whoever believes in Him receives the remission of sins. Therefore, the central message of the Scriptures is Christocentric, aimed at leading sinners to believe in Him for eternal life.
