What is the meaning of liberty in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Liberty in Christ refers to the freedom from sin and condemnation through His sacrifice.

The liberty that comes from Christ is one of the most profound blessings bestowed upon believers. In Isaiah 49:9, the announcement to prisoners is a proclamation of freedom. This echoes the gospel message where Jesus proclaims that He came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). By His sacrificial death and resurrection, believers are liberated from the penalty and power of sin. The glorious liberty of the children of God is foundational to the Christian faith, signifying not only freedom from sin but also entrance into a loving relationship with God where believers can freely serve Him.
