What is the meaning of 'Provenient Grace'?

Answered in 1 source

'Provenient Grace' refers to the grace that prepares individuals to receive further grace and salvation.

The concept of Provenient Grace serves as a theological foundation illustrating how God works in the hearts of those He has chosen. This grace initiates the process of sanctification, illustrating God's active role in turning our hearts from sin to Christ. Just as the Israelites were prepared to enter the Promised Land, God’s Provenient Grace prepares the hearts of His elect to believe and respond to the Gospel. It illustrates a divine orchestration that leads us inexorably towards Christ, not by our own merit, but solely by His grace and mercy.
