What is the relationship between law and grace?

Answered in 2 sources

The relationship between law and grace is that while the law reveals our sin, grace through Christ provides salvation (Romans 8:1-2).

The law serves a vital purpose by highlighting humanity's sinfulness and inability to achieve righteousness on their own. Romans 8:1-2 proclaims that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, showcasing that through grace, believers are freed from the law's penalty. This grace does not nullify the law but fulfills it, as Christ perfectly adhered to the law's commands and subsequently offers His righteousness to believers. As such, grace empowers believers to obey the law, not as a means to earn salvation but as an expression of their faith in Christ.
