What is the relationship between Lordship and salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is contingent upon acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord.

Salvation and Lordship are inseparable concepts in Christian theology. Romans 10:9 articulates that confession of Jesus as Lord is essential for salvation. This not only indicates acknowledgment of His authority but also entails an acceptance of His divine power to save. No one can enter the kingdom of God without recognizing Jesus' sovereign role over their lives and salvation. Additionally, the Lordship of Christ assures believers that their salvation is secure under His omnipotent control, as He possesses the power to give eternal life to those whom the Father has given Him (John 17:2).
