What is the relationship between nature and Scripture?

Answered in 1 source

Both nature and Scripture coexist as revelations of God's glory; nature points to His existence, while Scripture reveals His redemptive plan.

Nature serves as a book that points to the creator, as stated in Psalm 19:1-3, showing that the heavens and the earth declare God's glory. However, this book alone is insufficient for understanding God's redemptive purpose. Scripture is fundamental for grasping the details of God's character, His grace, mercy, and the plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. Both forms of revelation highlight God’s attributes—His power is evident in creation, while His love and redemptive intentions are articulated in the Scriptures. Thus, believers are encouraged to appreciate both, recognizing the limitations of nature without the complement of Scripture.
