What is the relationship between salvation and good works?

Answered in 1 source

Salvation is by faith alone in Christ, resulting in good works as evidence of faith.

While salvation is through faith in Christ alone, evidenced by His redemptive work, good works are the natural outcome of true faith. Ephesians 2:8-10 states that we are saved by grace through faith, and we are created in Christ for good works. These works do not earn salvation but are a response to it, displaying the transformative power of salvation in our lives. Therefore, while we cannot rely on our works for salvation, we can expect that genuine faith will produce a life characterized by good deeds as we reflect Christ's character.
