What is the role of ambition in a Christian's life?

Answered in 1 source

Ambition in a Christian's life should be directed toward serving others and growing in Christlikeness.

In the context of the Christian faith, ambition is not inherently sinful but must be oriented towards God’s glory and the good of others. As per Matthew 5:16, our good works should shine forth so that others may glorify our Father in heaven. This ambition toward godliness entails diligently pursuing moral and spiritual excellence as described in 2 Peter 1:5-7. While we strive to improve ourselves, our corresponding desire should be to uplift and serve those around us, contributing positively to the kingdom of God in our everyday lives.
