What is the role of Christ as our mediator?

Answered in 1 source

Christ acts as our mediator between God and man, fulfilling all requirements of the law and providing righteousness for believers.

In Christian theology, Christ serves as the mediator between God and humanity, ensuring that we have access to the Father through His sacrifice. In 1 Timothy 2:5, it states that there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. This role is significant as it highlights how Christ fulfilled the law on our behalf, making Him the perfect advocate who intercedes for us. Unlike the priests of the Old Testament, who were fallible and required to make sacrifices repeatedly, Christ's single atoning sacrifice provides a complete and once-for-all redemption. As believers, we find our righteousness not in ourselves but in Christ, empowering us to approach God confidently.
