What is the role of grace in dealing with sin?

Answered in 1 source

Grace enables believers to fight against sin while recognizing their inherent weakness.

Grace plays a vital role in empowering believers to confront sin. According to Romans 6:12-13, while sin may remain a reality, grace teaches us not to let sin reign in our bodies. Believers are reminded that they have died with Christ, and thus, their identities are now rooted in Him. This recognition does not eliminate the presence of sin but provides the strength to resist its power by relying on the Holy Spirit. Additionally, Christians are encouraged to engage in means of grace such as prayer, scripture reading, and fellowship with other believers to strengthen their resolve against sin.
