This divine grace changes the believer's orientation away from sin towards holiness, as noted in Titus 3:4-7, where the transformative power of God's mercy is displayed. The constant need for cleansing from sin (1 John 1:9) reinforces the idea that continual dependence on grace is necessary for heart purification. Therefore, grace is not merely a one-time act but a sustaining force in the life of a believer as they seek purity in their hearts.
