What is the role of the Holy Spirit in the believer's life?

Answered in 1 source

The Holy Spirit empowers believers, guiding them into truth and enabling them to live in accordance with God's will.

In the life of a believer, the Holy Spirit plays a crucial role as the Comforter and guide. Jesus taught that the Holy Spirit would come to lead believers into all truth and to testify of Him (John 14:16-17; John 15:26). This means that the Holy Spirit not only convicts sinners but also cultivates holiness and empowers the Church for ministry. The Holy Spirit assures believers of their identity in Christ, enabling them to walk in the Spirit rather than in the flesh. By relying on the Holy Spirit, believers find strength to live out their calling, reflecting the purposes of God in their lives as they follow Christ's example.
