What is the role of witnessing in a Christian's life?

Answered in 1 source

Witnessing is the act of sharing the gospel and the truths of Scripture with others, as believers are called to be witnesses of Christ.

In Acts 26:22, Paul states, 'Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great.' This reflects the commission given to every believer to share the gospel, not just in word but through their lives. Witnessing is a response to the grace received from God, and it is driven by the understanding of His sovereignty and purpose in redemption. Additionally, witnessing involves declaring the truths found in the Scriptures and pointing others to Christ, as seen in the historic calling of the Church to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth.
