What is the significance of being pleased with God's character?

Answered in 1 source

Being aligned with God's character leads to a righteous understanding of justice and mercy (Micah 7:18).

Understanding and being pleased with God's character is vital for a believer. God’s nature embodies both absolute justice and abundant mercy; He does not overlook sin, yet delights in showing mercy. As indicated in Micah 7:18, He finds pleasure in offering grace to the repentant. Recognizing and relishing this balance shapes the believer’s worldview and encourages adherence to His commandments. Our approval of God's ways, especially His justice and mercy, indicates a heart transformed by grace, which enables us to respond properly in obedience and worship.
