What is the significance of Christ's ascension for believers?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ's ascension is significant as it secures our place in heaven and allows the Holy Spirit to work in believers' lives.

Christ's ascension to the Father is crucial for believers as it opened the way for the Holy Spirit to come and dwell within them. Jesus explained that it was necessary for Him to go so that the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, could arrive to guide and empower believers. This act signifies that Jesus has obtained eternal redemption for His people and is now seated at the right hand of God as our mediator. Moreover, His ascension assures believers of their future with Him, as He prepares a place for them in heaven.
