What is the significance of Christ's intercession in prayer?

The intercession of Christ is central to our relationship with God, as it is through Him that our prayers are presented and accepted. In Romans 8:34, we learn that Jesus is at the right hand of God, interceding for us, which gives believers great confidence in approaching the throne of grace.
