What is the significance of much assurance in the Christian faith?

Answered in 1 source

Much assurance signifies confidence in God's promises and the completed work of Christ for salvation.

In the Christian faith, much assurance is vital because it reflects the certainty that God has fulfilled His promises in Christ. As described in Romans 8:28-30, believers can have confidence that God has predestined, called, justified, and glorified them through Christ. This assurance is founded on recognizing that salvation is not dependent on human effort but entirely on the finished work of Jesus. When faith rests in Christ's achievements, believers experience peace and confidence, knowing that they are secure in Him. As Hebrews 10:22 encourages, we can draw near with full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience.
