What kind of refuge is Jesus for us?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is an appointed, able, present, and unchangeable refuge for all who believe.

Jesus Christ is described as an appointed refuge, sent by God to meet our needs. He is able to provide all that we require for our spiritual walk, and He stands ever near to help us in our trouble. The scriptures affirm that He is an unchangeable refuge, meaning His ability to save and support us never wavers. Moreover, this refuge is universal, open to all who believe, regardless of their past, proving that in Him, there is a safe haven for every kind of sin and trouble.
