What role does faith play in the resurrection of believers?

Answered in 1 source

Faith is the means by which believers are united with Christ and therefore partake in His resurrection.

Faith is central to experiencing the realities of the resurrection. Jesus explains in John 5:24 that those who hear and believe in Him have eternal life, implying a direct connection between faith and the resurrection life given to believers. The faith that God grants enables believers to partake in the death and resurrection of Christ. Ephesians 2:5-6 affirms that believers are 'raised up together' with Christ through faith, emphasizing that resurrection life begins in the heart even before the physical resurrection. Thus, faith not only connects believers to the historical reality of Jesus’ resurrection but also becomes the present assurance of their spiritual and future resurrection.
