What role does fear play in the life of a Christian?

Answered in 1 source

Fear can hinder faith, but God’s Word encourages believers to trust in Him and not be afraid.

Fear is a natural response to the challenges that Christians face, but the Bible provides multiple assurances against fear. Throughout scripture, including Isaiah 43:1-2, God repeatedly tells His people, "Fear not, for I have redeemed you." Such passages reinforce the notion that God’s promises and redemptive work render fear unnecessary. Christians are reminded that while they may face daunting circumstances, they can choose to trust in the providence of God, who goes with them through every trial and tribulation. This trust helps believers to overcome and stand firm against the fear that might otherwise dominate their lives.
