What role does God's will play in salvation?

Answered in 1 source

God's will is the ultimate determining factor in the salvation of His people.

In salvation, the will of God is the decisive element that governs the entire process. According to Hebrews 10:7, Christ came to do the will of God, which underscores the divine mandate that governs God’s redemptive plan. The Father’s will involves the elect being drawn to Christ, and the assurance that none will be lost from those given to Him (John 6:39). The Scriptures demonstrate that God’s intention and purpose in salvation are irrevocable, established before the foundation of the world, showcasing His sovereignty over all aspects of salvation.
