What role does obedience play in a Christian's faith?

Answered in 1 source

Obedience is a natural expression of faith and trust in God.

Obedience is intricately linked with faith in the life of a Christian. The highest law for believers is to obey God’s commands because obedience flows from a heart that trusts God. As articulated in the sermon, obedience is seen as the realization of faith; without obedience, faith remains merely intellectual assent and does not bear fruit. Therefore, true faith manifests itself in how one lives, demonstrating submitted love and trust in the sovereignty of God, which ultimately pleases Him.
