What role does the Holy Spirit play in the new covenant?

Answered in 1 source

The Holy Spirit empowers new covenant ministers and transforms believers, granting them spiritual life and a new heart.

In the new covenant, the Holy Spirit is central to the ministry and the experience of believers. He empowers new covenant ministers to preach the gospel effectively, giving life to the message they deliver (2 Corinthians 3:6). Additionally, the Holy Spirit works in the hearts of believers, transforming them and granting them a new nature—removing the stony heart and replacing it with one of flesh, as promised in the new covenant (Ezekiel 36:26). This transformation enables believers to see and behold the glory of God, reflecting it in their lives as they grow in faith.
