What role does the Word of God play in revealing God's glory?

Answered in 1 source

The Word of God reveals God's glory by disclosing His character and unfolding His redemptive plan through Christ.

The Scriptures serve as a primary means by which God reveals His glory to humanity. In John 1:14, we learn that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, displaying God's glory as the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. Throughout the Bible, God communicates His nature, purpose, and plan for redemption, ultimately pointing us to Christ. From the beginning, God's story unfolds through the pages of Scripture, showing all aspects of His character and the promise of salvation. Christ Himself embodies the perfect revelation of God's glory, as seen in the way He lived, taught, and sacrificed for humanity. Consequently, engaging with the Word not only deepens our understanding of God's glorious nature, but also transforms us into His image (2 Corinthians 3:18). As we study the Scriptures, we encounter the glory of God and are transformed by it, empowering us to reflect that glory in our lives.
