What satisfies the conscience?

Answered in 1 source

The conscience is satisfied through faith in the completed work of Christ and His resurrection.

The conscience finds true satisfaction only in the certainty of the finished work of Christ. Hebrews 9:9 notes that the old sacrifices could never truly satisfy the conscience, as they only pointed to the need for atonement without accomplishing it. In contrast, the resurrection of Jesus Christ signifies His victory over sin and death, validating the believer's justification. When a believer grasps that their sins are paid for through Christ, they can have a clear conscience, free from guilt. This understanding leads to a life not driven by the fear of judgment but filled with the assurance of God's grace and mercy.
