What should believers do in times of trial?

Answered in 1 source

Believers should plead God's faithfulness and rely on His promises during trials, knowing He hears their cries for help.

In times of trial, believers are encouraged to cry out to God, just as the psalmist does in Psalm 143. They should remember God's past mercies and cling to His promises for their present situations. The assurance that God listens and responds to their cries is pivotal. In Isaiah, God promises that before His people call, He will answer (Isaiah 65:24), which emphasizes His readiness to help and intervene. By focusing on His faithfulness and understanding that He has not changed, believers can find respite in their struggles, knowing that God will provide the grace they need. Ultimately, calling upon God as a beggar, recognizing their dependence on Him, is the key to experiencing His sustaining grace.
