What should Christians do in times of affliction?

In times of affliction, believers are encouraged to earnestly ask the Lord for wisdom and understanding. As seen in Psalm 119:66, David sought God to 'teach me good judgment and knowledge.' This plea acknowledges that God's word contains the instruction necessary to navigate life's trials.
