What should Christians do when faced with temptation?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should rely on prayer and the Word of God, following Jesus' example to resist temptation.

When faced with temptation, Christians are encouraged to turn to prayer and the Scriptures for strength and guidance. Jesus exemplified this in His responses to the devil’s temptations, showing us the importance of relying on the Word of God. In James 4:7, believers are instructed to submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee. Moreover, Ephesians 6 emphasizes taking up the whole armor of God, including the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, to equip ourselves spiritually. Regularly engaging with the Scriptures helps believers to know God's truth and respond appropriately in moments of temptation, reinforcing their dependence on Him for strength and guidance.
