What should Christians do when they doubt God's promises?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should cry out to God for help and return to His Word for reassurance and strength.

When faced with doubt and unbelief, believers are encouraged to take their concerns to God, as exemplified in the plea, 'Lord, I believe; help my unbelief' (Mark 9:24). This prayer acknowledges our weakness and the reality of our struggles with faith. Additionally, engaging with Scripture is vital as it provides reminders of God's enduring faithfulness. Praying and meditating on His promises can lead to renewed trust. As David did in his trials, we must remind ourselves of God's past victories and mercies in our lives to counteract the deceitful tendencies of our hearts. Trusting in God’s Word not only strengthens our faith but also protects us from the insidious nature of unbelief.
