What should Christians do when they feel God is silent?

Answered in 1 source

When Christians feel God is silent, they are encouraged to persist in prayer and trust that He is still at work behind the scenes.

Experiencing silence from God can be disheartening for believers, but it should not lead to despair. David’s example teaches us that even in silence, we should continue to cry out to God, expressing our dependence on Him as our rock. Silence may be God’s way of drawing us closer, encouraging us to seek Him more fervently. We can take comfort in knowing that God's silence does not equate to His absence; rather, it may be a divine strategy to increase our earnestness in prayer. Just as David prayed, 'Be not silent to me,' we must persist, trusting that God's timing and responses are perfect.
