What should Christians look to for comfort in dark times?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should look to the promises of God and the person of Christ for comfort during challenging times.

In challenging times, believers are encouraged to reflect on the promises of God as exemplified in scripture. Isaiah reminds the faithful remnant that despite their suffering and despair, God is sovereign, and His purposes are being fulfilled. The hope that arises from the knowledge of Christ's redemptive work is essential for comforting the soul in difficult days. As believers look forward to Christ’s return and the ultimate fulfillment of His promises, this leads to courage amid adversity. Thus, Christians are called to uplift one another with the truth of the Gospel, encouraging one another to focus on Christ—the Holy One of Israel, who remains with His people in all circumstances.
