What should our attitude be when partaking in the Lord's Supper?

Answered in 1 source

Our attitude in partaking of the Lord's Supper should be one of humility, thankfulness, and thoughtful reflection.

When approaching the Lord's Table, Christians should come with deep humility, recognizing their need for Christ's sacrifice. This humbling awareness reflects an understanding of the weight of our sin and the love demonstrated through His broken body and shed blood. Additionally, thanksgiving should be at the forefront of our hearts as we remember the sacrifice made on our behalf. Thoughtfulness is also key—discerning the significance of the bread and wine as symbols of Christ's body and blood, which leads us to a deeper appreciation of His sacrifice and a stronger faith as we partake in this holy ordinance.
