What should we do when disagreements arise over non-essential matters?

Answered in 1 source

Believers should maintain unity and peace, avoiding disputes over non-essential issues while upholding the truth of the gospel.

In Romans 14, the Apostle Paul clearly states that while there may be disagreements over practices that are not central to the gospel, unity among believers should take precedence. He cautions against judging one another over matters that do not pertain to salvation, such as dietary choices or observance of certain days. Instead, believers are encouraged to receive each other in grace, remembering that their ultimate responsibility is to build one another up in Christ. This means respecting individual convictions as long as they do not contradict the fundamental truths of the gospel, thus allowing for diversity in practice while preserving harmony within the body of Christ.
