What should we do when faced with trials according to Scripture?

Answered in 1 source

In trials, Scripture encourages us to be still and commit our souls to God, trusting in His divine purpose.

When facing trials, we are instructed to be still and recognize God’s hand in our circumstances. 1 Peter 4:19 teaches us to commit the keeping of our souls to Him as a faithful Creator, reflecting our trust in His sovereignty over our suffering. Rather than responding with anxiety or frustration, we are called to rest in the assurance that God is actively working for our good. This posture of stillness during trials allows us to focus on God’s faithfulness and provision rather than our difficulties, echoing the sentiments found in Psalm 46:1, which states that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
