When does a person experience salvation?

Answered in 1 source

A person experiences salvation when they hear the gospel and respond in faith (Ephesians 1:13).

Salvation is an experiential reality that begins when an individual hears the gospel of Jesus Christ and believes. Ephesians 1:13 makes it clear that 'in whom ye also trusted after ye heard the word of truth.' This indicates that the message of Christ is the instrument through which God imparts faith and regenerates a person. It is pivotal that the message heard is the authentic gospel, for thus comes life and transformation. Salvation involves an active faith response to the truth of who Christ is and what He has accomplished, marking the beginning of a believer's spiritual journey.
