Where is the family of God now?

Answered in 1 source

The family of God exists both in heaven and on earth, awaiting complete reunification in glory.

According to Ephesians 3:15, the family of God consists of those currently residing in heaven and those still on earth. While these two parts of God's family are separated for the time being, they are united in their relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ. The part of the family that is in heaven is described as being at rest, free from sin and temptation, while those on earth continue to strive in their faith amidst challenges. Despite this division, both portions remain one family, looking forward to the day when all believers will be gathered together for eternity, reflecting the unity that God desires for His children.
