Who does Jesus save according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus saves those who recognize their helplessness and sin (Matthew 9:2).

In the sermon, it is emphasized that Jesus came to save sinners who cannot help themselves. The paralyzed man in Matthew 9 illustrates this reality; he was brought to Jesus by others because he was unable to come on his own. This signifies that salvation is a work of God, initiated and sustained by Him. As stated in Ephesians 2:8-9, it is by grace we are saved through faith, and not by our works. Therefore, those who acknowledge their spiritual impotence and look to Christ for mercy are the ones He saves.
