Who has the right to pray to God?

Answered in 1 source

Only those who are in Christ have the privilege to pray to God as Father, while others pray in vain.

The right to address God as Father is given uniquely to those who belong to Christ. This is seen in Matthew 6:9, where Jesus teaches His disciples to pray, 'Our Father who art in heaven.' Yet, John 8:44 reveals that not all people are children of God; those who live in sin are likened to children of the devil. Therefore, true prayer can only be offered by those who have repented and placed their trust in Christ, allowing them access to call upon God as their Father.
